Obama Administration says construction of the universe's ultimate weapon would be cost-prohibitive and not in keeping with its policy of galactic peace.

The White House has rejected a proposal to build a Death Star, saying that in addition to its prohibitive construction costs, the current administration does not advocate destroying other planets.

Sometimes it seems the world is so screwed up we should just build a new one from scratch--and now we finally know how much such a project would cost.

In gloriously geeky fashion, economics students at Lehigh University tried to estimate how long it would take and how much it would cost to build the Empire's ginormous man-made planetship if we were to get started today.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Apple on Wednesday unveiled a thinner, taller, faster iPhone 5 at a highly anticipated event in San Francisco. 

The device, which is 18% thinner and 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S, is the thinnest smartphone in the world, according to Apple. With a four-inch screen, the iPhone 5 allows for five rows of apps -- one more than previous versions of the device, which sported a 3.5-inch screen.

There are a ton of innovative people out there in the field of technology.  It’s just a shame we’ll never really get to see their work.  It could be something as little as a piece of paper that helps you fold laundry better or an entire new system to heat your home.

Either way millions of people out there are finding ways to make life easier and we’ll never know who they are.   Luckily today you’ll see some amazing advancements that will blow you away.   By the way we’re kind of kidding here but these little innovations are pretty awesome though.

It is an accepted fact that Windows Computers tend to get a bit slow after a few months of use. The PC that felt responsive when it was new starts taking extra seconds to perform basic tasks. It boots up, but it's a couple of frustrating moments before you can start working, Folders can be accessed but only after a slight lag, and Programs do launch, but lethargically.

If you have a neighbor that is reasonably dubious or particularly attractive you want to keep a close eye on, a new gadget has surfaced that might be perfect for your far away stalking needs. The device is a remote control flying toy called the Spy Hawk that can send a live video stream back to the handheld remote control. It will be available in early August in the UK for £249.95.

The wait is over for those android fans who were anxiously waiting for an android tablet. Google’s Nexus 7 is Google’s replay to the requests of its faithful customers who love android based gadgets more than anything. This 7-inch tablet is perfect for one hand use and has some amazing features that will blow your mind. Moreover, the nexus 7 is far better than its competitors in each and every aspect and it would not be wrong to say that the Nexus 7 destroys the Kindle Fire and whatever it stands for.
