Life Goes On...

There comes a time when you feel like ending all relationships, finding an escape route from all the chaos and mess that surrounds you. People start annoying you, loved ones seem fake and dishonest in their expression of love and friends seem mean and selfish. It feels like tomorrow’s going to be worse than today and today will never end. It feels like there’s no hope and all that will surround you from now on is despair and misery. What do you do then? Do you wait and watch for all of this to end or do you wait for the feeling to pass?

You talk to people and they tell you, I’ve been there and done that. They tell you it will all be better and that the feeling will pass or circumstances will change. But they never tell you how to deal with what you are going through right now. They never tell you how to put on a mask of happiness and live your life like nothing happened. They do not tell you how to hide the war that is going on inside you nor do they tell you how to stop feeling. That’s because no one has an answer to it. No one knows how to find that peace. No one knows how to take in everything without ever complaining.

For me, the ‘this is life, deal with it’ attitude does not work, nor does the ‘you live once’ attitude. And this holds true for all those who think deep and hard, who take in everything to their minutest details and expect others to understand them for it. Yet, they are laughed at and criticized for being the way they are. Truly, I have yet to find a solution to shut out all the negativities and take in only the positives.

I might not ever find a solution, or the solution might be right there staring me in the face. But there’s still time to find a solution. Till then, I have to take in everything that comes my way and hope that it ends. Hope. That’s all there is and that’s all that takes you through this chaos we call life.

"Life is full of disappointments, heartbreak, road blocks, and unexpected detours, but none of us is so fragile that we can't over come these things. if we allow ourselves to heal from these painful experiences, we end up wiser and more open than before, able to appreciate the joy, the surprises, and the beauty of life more than ever". ~ Echo Bodine
